Consultations and General Examination

During a consultation, the doctor will take your full medical history and explain the following:

• Details of your illness or problem.
• The full examination.
• The treatment given.
• When to come back for review if necessary.
• You should have your blood pressure and urine checked for diabetes at least once every six months.
• Female patients of childbearing age should have an annual PAP smear and breast examination.
• Male patients above the age of 45 years should do an annual blood test for prostate cancer (PSA).
